Radicle Vines wine label

The Radicle Vine label reflects the artisan character of these modestly priced wines and communicates their uniquely Northwest style.

Radicle Vine

In botany, a “radicle” is the earliest emerging root to develop from a seed, sending itself into the ground to create strength and take nourishment from the soil so that the plant will grow strong and spread its leaves. For wine lovers, “Radicle Vine” wines are a tasty introduction to Lady Hill wines, delivering unexpected levels of quality and value that show what True Northwest wines are all about.

Radicle Vine wines offer rich flavors and robust character for satisfying drinking, by themselves or in pairing with fine foods. Radicle Vine wines are always an easygoing and affordable Northwest pleasure!

If you like lively, fruity, and straightforward pinot noir, Radicle Vine Pinot Noir is the wine for you. Flavors of blackberries and raspberries are broad and vibrant, with accents of baking spices and dried herbs to add interest. We work with premier vineyards in the Willamette Valley to craft a wine that truly expresses the beauty of this region, so famous for the quality of its pinot noir grapes.

If you prefer a more hearty and robust red, then our Radicle Vine Cabernet Sauvignon is a perfect example of the deliciousness of this popular grape. Chock-full of ripe red berries and lively currant flavors, this wine also delivers notes of cocoa powder, crushed mint leaves, and violets. The fruit for this wine comes from some of the leading vineyards in Washington’s Columbia Valley, where the warm and dry climate ripens cabernet sauvignon to perfection.

The Radicle Vine Red is a delicious blending of multiple grapes from Washington’s warm Columbia Valley into a remarkably balanced and harmonious wine. With juicy fruit-sweet tastes of cherries and red plums, along with an appealing aspect of wild spices and dried fruits, this wine delivers a fresh and complex character that will have you coming back for more.

Radicle Vine wines are meant to give you uncomplicated pleasure from a range of accessibly fruit-forward, easy to enjoy wines. These are hand-crafted and naturally-produced wines that reflect the honest generosity of our Northwest bounty.

Procedo wine label

With sleek elegance, the Procedo label is as
eye-catching as the wines are delicious.

Procedo

Lady Hill’s Procedo label (meaning, “to go forward”) is the one to look for when you are in the mood for a touch more luxury, without having to spend much more to get it.

Procedo wines are True Northwest expressions of classic wine styles inspired by Bordeaux and Italy. The clean and attention-grabbing label aptly reflects the character of Procedo wines: bold flavors, elegant structure, and modern style.

The Procedo Red  is a Super Tuscan-inspired blend of the Italian sangiovese grape, along with the traditional French  Bordeaux grapes cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, and merlot. The result is a remarkably plush wine packed with pretty flavors of cherries, raspberries, earth, and dried herbs.

Similarly, our Procedo Credente is a slightly different blend of the same Italian and Bordeaux grapes that has been aged longer and then bottled as a barrel-select wine—a little more complex, a little more age able Super Tuscan-style Northwest wine.

Made from the first varietal plantings in the Northwest, at Washington’s famed Red Willow Vineyard, our Procedo Barbera is a revelation. This Italian grape produces a show-stopping wine that fills your mouth with tastes of wild red fruits, tart cherry pie filling, licorice, cocoa, and a touch of orange zest. This jaunty wine may be unconventional to some, but is sure to become a favorite once you’ve tried it!

Lady Hill’s Procedo wines offer an additional level of complexity and elegance, ideally suited for pairing with meats fresh off the backyard grill, or lovingly prepared from the kitchen broiler.

Ad Lucem wine label

The Ad Lucem label invites you to explore the realm of the Rhône with True Northwest expressions of classic French varieties and blends.

Ad Lucem

Latin for “into the light,” the Ad Lucem label represents a new beginning—an opportunity to discover the delicious realm of Rhône-style wines from Lady Hill. Ad Lucem wines are finely-crafted True Northwest versions of Rhône-inspired single-variety, single-vineyards, and red blends.

A beautiful introduction to the Ad Lucem wines is the Sonnenblume, a Roussane and Viognier blend sourced exclusively from Red Mountains AVA’s Ciel du Cheval  Vineyard.

The Ad Lucem Elaina is a sumptuous blending of syrah, mourvèdre, grenache, and durif (sometimes known as petite sirah) grapes. Bright and earthy, with rich tastes of ripe cherries and blackberries, and a touch of blueberry, this wine has a silky mouth feel and packs plenty of flavor onto a refined frame.

A similar approach to blending characterizes our Ad Lucem Daystar Red, a slightly more sophisticated blend composed of a different mixture of the same grapes scoring 91 Points with Wine Spectator Magazine. This yields a wine that is fresh with acidity, full of supple and smooth tannins, all framing a palate of cherries, blackberries, and dried prunes. This is an opulent wine that is juicy without being jammy, and layered with satisfying flavors.

Ad Lucem wines also showcase specific outstanding vineyards. Our Ad Lucem Daystar is 100% pure varietal fruit, all from Slide Mountain Vineyard in the far western reaches of Washington’s Yakima Valley. Nearby Red Willow Vineyard, with its seminal plantings of Syrah, provides the fruit for the Ad Lucem Daystar, Red Willow Vineyard blend. While Red Willow is at the extreme western edge of Yakima Valley and therefore cooler than the average, we also produce an Ad Lucem Daystar, Red Heaven Vineyard blend from the much warmer and more easterly Red Heaven Vineyard Red Mountain AVA. The Ad Lucem Daystar range of wines illustrates the fascinating differences of terroir that comprise eastern Washington’s finest vineyards.

Lady Hill label

Sophisticated, polished, balanced—Lady Hill wines are Northwest expressions of classic
Old World varieties.

Lady Hill

The family of Lady Hill owners Jerry and Elaine Owen has been blessed with a bounteous lineage of females—embodied today by Elaine Owen and her eight daughters. Our Lady Hill label is a tribute both to the family farm that has been home to the Owen forebears since the 1860s, and the lady-laden ancestry of the Owen family.

Lady Hill-labeled wines are polished and sophisticated Northwest expressions of classic French varieties and blends. The Lady Hill Pinot Noir is a beautifully balanced example of Burgundian-inspired pinot noir, sourced from one of the most respected vineyards in the Willamette Valley. Our is a tasty, racy, Alsatian-inspired Pinot Gris that offers bright fruit flavors.

From Tapteil Vineyard in Washington’s warm Red Mountain AVA comes our premier  a bright, profound, and single-vineyard version of this classic Bordeaux variety. Also from the famed Tapteil Vineyard comes our Lady Hill Cuvee Marie Dorion. Named after a remarkable Northwest pioneer, this release reflects both the sophistication of merlot and cabernet sauvignon and the unique terroir of the Pacific Northwest.

Two newer additions to our family of Bordeaux blends are the Lady Hill Cuvée Elfrieda Zorn and the Lady Hill Cuvée Etienne Lucier. The Elfrieda Zorn blend, named in honor of one of the original “ladies of Lady Hill,” Jerry Owen’s grandmother. This is a lovely blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc sourced exclusively from Red Willow Vineyard. The Lady Hill Cuvée Etienne Lucier, named for one of Oregon’s earliest farmers,

Our Lady Hill Cabernet Sauvignon received 91 point score from Wine Spectator, with their editors describing this wine as “bright and generous.” The Lady Hill Merlot  is a carefully crafted example of one of Washington state’s signature grape varieties. Concentrated flavors of herb-infused blackberry and cassis fruit are forward and fresh. If you haven’t been drinking merlot recently, this wine will make you a convert!

And we wouldn’t want you to miss out on our stunning Fons Amoris wines either! Fons Amoris Cabernet Franc, Slide Mountain Vineyard, Fons Amoris Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Willow VineyardFons Amoris Pinot Noir, Freedom Hill Vineyard. “Fons Amoris” is Latin for Font of Love.
